Best 4th of July party ever! Big love to all the folks who came out to Grand Park’s very 1st of July Party! The weather was on point and so was the energy. I started off the day with some soul vibes w/ some Stevie edits and brasilian breaks then Get Lit hit the stage showcasing some poetry. These were LAUSD high schoolers dropping knowledge on the crowd. Ethio Cali and Jungle Fire followed with some world flavor and the crowd began to build and build. During my breaks I ventured through the crowd with my camera and took some great shots of the water fountain and all the kiddos running around. It was back to the turntables and the crowd began to move a little more and I just had to drop Cube’s “Today Was A Good Day” somewhere in my next set followed by some Mana which really got a great reception pre La Santa Cecilia! LSC took it home and then it was time to intro Grand Park director Lucas Rivera and Board of Supervisor Gloria Molina who thanked the crowd then came the pyro! Whoop! Then the ride home was an adventure too!
Doing it once again in the park! This time we celebrate the 4th of July with some of my favorite LA based bands including Get Lit, Ethio Cali, Jungle Fire and La Santa Cecilia. I’ll be hosting and working the turntables all day so make sure to swing by! It’s free and open to the community.
Truly excited to team up with Grand Park once again for this awesome occasion celebrating MLK and the Inauguration of President Barack Obama. I’ll be on the turntables with some live music. The last time we got down at Grand Park it was one hell of a city party! Peep the pics. You got the day off! Come out and lets do it again under the sun! Hope to see you LA!

What a night! So great to rock the party with the Dublab fam, Votolatino, the amazing staff at Grand Park and of course my fellow Angeleno’s who gathered, camped, broke out blankets and enjoyed the coverage of the 2012 elections. Every time CNN had breaking results you could hear the unison of gasps across the park. Every time President Obama picked up states you could hear a gigantic roar! It reminded me of a homerun roar at Dodger Stadium! If you came out I hope you had a ball! Wether you voted R or D, we were all family! So great to see so many friends and fam hanging out!
